After using a Razer Lachesis for several years I want to buy a new performance mouse.
However, there are many reports of high end Razer mice malfunctioning within 1 year.
Logitech mice tend to whine, so they are not an option AFAIK.
I want to buy a mouse in the 80 -100 euros zone, high precision, but I don't need lots of buttons.
My priorities are good reliability and no whine. I can tolerate clicks if they are not really loud.
Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.

Have you looked at Cyborg mice, like the R.A.T. 7? Not quiet, but robust. My son has one and he likes it well enough. He has had it for about a year of heavy gaming, and still going strong.

I have a Logitech G500, about 6 month old and nothing to complain about.

If i hadn't gotten the G500 (there were some under 40€ at that time) i would have tried one of those:

-Roccat Kone +
-Razer Deathadder (had the first edition, but mouse wheel crapped out, me got angry and the mouse wasn't in a refundable state afterwards )
-Cyborg R.A.T. 7

But then make sure it has a proper standby mechanism, and can be used/charged via USB.

I never had a cordless mouse and probably never will.
The Cyborg RAT7 is too ugly to sit on my desktop.
The Roccat Kone(+) is not available to buy in Bucharest.

For now I bought a Steelseries Sensei RAW rubberised, for only about 52 euros.
There is no whine or other constant noise coming from the mouse. This mouse is comfortable.
The clicks are a bit louder than those of the Lachesis, but that's normal for a new mouse.
What annoys me is the wheel, it's making a clunky noise. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it.

If the wheel bothers you go for the logitechs that have the switch of free wheel, like the Logitech G500.

I like the free-wheel Logitech wheel for it's relative quiet, and for its momentum. But if you need the middle button for accurate clicking, then it won't be as good. The good thing is, you can toggle between the ratcheted mode and the smooth flywheel mode with a physical switch on the bottom of the mouse.
