It seems that finally the new Artic-Cooling cooler is available:

No. The S1 is much larger. The S1 is 296.7cm^2 and 33mm thick without a fan, the TWIN TURBO is 218.36cm^2 and 34mm thick with two fans. As for their weights it's hard to compare since we don't know how much the fans weigh. To me it looks more like a smaller version of the Accelero Xtreme.
The S1 already supports 4850 and 4870 and is most likely still the reigning champion.
And it would be a nice system for doing a cross fire setup. With a fan controller of course, one could manage a very nice very high end gaming system with very quiet operation.
I am imagining an E8400 with a 1283, a couple of these on 2 x 4870's, a decent power supply (Corsair VX450 might be enough) a 6400AAKS or 1TB F1 and a couple of 120mm fans in a P182...

No thanks Arctic. You sold your exhaust cooling solutions to videocard vendors; your partnerships to have your patents only being used with HIS Digital, living us consumers with PURE SHIT.
You stopped doing exhaust solutions, and that's when you lost me forever.

I apologize if I sound too energic, but everything that has come from Arctic Cooling as heatsinks from 2006-2008 are nothing but crap.
Well, your S1 was at least flexible with fans.... but still...
I think it's time for them to learn that it's not fun having +100W +200W of heated air recirculating in your machine and keeping your card cool, while all the other components in my system can go to hell.

Hmm...this gives me ideas...tbh it should be rather easy to mod an accelero (S1 or S2) into an exhaust cooling solution. I haven't followed things too closely, but was very disappointed by the SPCR reviews of the initial exhaust coolers from Arctic Cooling. They were always deemed too loud and stupidly used a transparent plasic fan for increased vibration.
Did arctic cooling ever actually release a quiet exhaust cooler?
@kel: Do you realize how much impedance would have an axial fan have to overcome in your design?
This is the reason why the exhausting VGA coolers use radial fans, they handle impedance much better, even if their CFM / RPM is worse.
A radial fan that would blow across the S1 (from the front of the case to the back) would make the whole setup way too large.
I tought of a compact system, like a heatsink similar to the HR-03, with a radial fan pushing towards the back, which would have a reasonable size.

Well I finally got around to install the accelero2, couldn't use the ram heatsinks as it was impossible to get them to stick but as I've got active cooling now I'm not really worried - pics and results:

No ducting yet, and tbh I doubt I'll be doing any. I've got idle temps of around 39c (gfx/cpu) now and running a typical game both cpu & gpu stay at <50c.
North & Soutbridge also seem to stay at around 70c max (Intel P35DP MB - the sensors for these chips don't even register temps below 66c and apparently they're fine up to 120-130c so these temps are great)
Interestingly enough after fitting the S2 the cpu seems to run 5c cooler than before, the fan mounted to the S2 is blowing bottom to top so that might explain it...surprsing, but i'm certainly not complaining ^^

Most of the heat from graphics RAM is dissipated into the circuit board, most stock coolers use some horrible cloth things...
AFAIK it is possible do stuff like S1 + 8800GT without ramsinks, especially with a fan attached. And 4870's GDDR5 memory is supposed to be cooler than GDDR3 (don't know if it's at equal frequencies though).

Yeah that's what I thought, the passive gf9600gt designs I've seen all seem to do without any ram/pwm heatsinks so I figured I'd be fine. HI cercle here ,you all know zallman vf1000 ,it is less interesting than S.. from arctic , that's all right ,so i would like to present you a special part designed by zallman in order to replace it's own RAM RADIATOR,it uses SCREWS and BOLTS ! yes!, no more loosy chewing gum,plus a prayer ,so your card won't loose its ram rads. it also has 3 pin moboheader AND 4-pin PCB header, so fans are controlled via card's own bios.
