Green vertical streaks when using Radeon 9600

Hi,

I bought a Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600 from newegg, and it worked fine for about four and a half days, but then last night after I booted up, I saw these green vertical streaks all over the monitor.



I have not installed anything new since Wednesday, nor changed any settings. I have the latest drivers and control panel from Sapphire's site, and my Windows XP is completely updated.

I am not sure how to fix this issue. I tried all the settings under Display Properties. Is there a way to fix this? or should I RMA the card?

ewwww! you tried installing different gfx drivers? do you seem to get the problem whilst booting up?

try different gfx drivers, if it dosent fix it then rma it, definately!!!

...btw i use mozilla firebird too, it RULES!!!!!!

Try with another GPU, if the problem remains, it is at least not the grafixcard. If the other GPU is Nvidia, it is probably not the drivers. Change monitor, if the problem remains, I am afraid it might be your motherboard, test:)
A friend of mine´s AGP-port is not working properly, so his grafixcard works on a case-by-case basis. Sometimes he has full 32bit color, sometimes only greyscales...

I tried other drivers it didn't work. I don't have access to another video card. I tossed my old Voodoo 3 PCI card because it had stopped working properly.

I've got a newegg RMA #, I guess I'll just send this card in and hope for the best.

hrm. i have the same sort of problems on my 9700AIW. crops up every so often, in particular playing quake 3. i've upgraded drivers once before and that didn't help... sucks. i'm past any return period...

anyway, i'd appreciate hearing any updates.

it cant be the monitor for a fact... otherwise if it was, when he printscreens we wouldnt be able to see the green.
