Asus Radeon 9800XT graphics card

Does anyone know how noisy are the twin fans on this graphics card, the Asus Radeon 9800 XT ?

I'm choosing and buying parts for the new computer I'm building, and the assembled computer will be running in my lounge. So we don't want something sounding like an aircraft engine while the family are trying to watch TV.

Welcome to SPCR.

I haven't heard the stock fan on that card personally, but judging by my older 9700Pro stock fan (wich I changed in a heartbeat) I can assure you it will be very loud and probably the loudest component in your system.

One UK PC mag said the fan noise isnt as imposing as you might think to look at the 2 fan design, but I would think it would still be pretty loud...
