Radeon 9500Pro fan cfm?

Post by PhilgB » Wed May 26, 2004 5:41 pm

Going to try a mod on my card soon. Just wondering how much CFM the stock fan pushes and the RPM. Couldn't find it anywhere.

Thanks.

The card gets pretty hot. I was going to mount an undervolted 60mm panaflo or something to it. Did you run yours fanless?

People run 9800pro's fanless, so I dont think you have to worry about running yours without a fan. What heatsink do you have? I have a 9700pro with the VGA silencer on low but as Ed said, it's pretty safe to run anything up to a 9700pro fanless, like with the Zalman ZM-80C or something. It should (the heatsink) be getting hot, that means that it's working. Unless your getting artifacting or crashing or some other heat related problem, I think your fine fanless.

Well no kidding they can run it fanless with a ZM80C.. I thought you were saying stock fanless

Ok, Im going to try it. I know a silencer or the zalman would be better/quieter but I have several similar cards to do and Im trying to keep it simple and cheap.
