Passively cooled PCI-E card?

They make noise, too.

Passively cooled PCI-E card?

Post by kie » Sun Apr 03, 2005 1:41 am

Does anyone know of any fanless PCI-E cards?

I don't need 3D performance at all, but it does need to be PCI-E - and I would prefer not to have to get a 3rd party add-on heat sink if possible.

I've been looking and not had much luck so far...

Gigabyte passive 6600, 6600GT, X800... also think about 6200TC and X300SE but only provided you won't be playing any games

All-in-wonder cards were a ATI model. Exactly which features do you need?

I am not thinking about a fanless ati all-in-wonder card that is also pci-e

(I am after a graphics / tv card that is quiet)

A quick review of the ATI and NewEgg.com websites does not list any passive PCIe cards with a built-inTV tuner. However, ATI makes several separate PCI TV tuner cards that you could use with a card like a passive ATI Radeon X300 (most versions are passive, but not all).
