Basically a dual slot sli config of two 7900 gts. Great! More heat and more noise - just what we need. And I wonder if nvidia was thinking, how are aftermarket coolers going to fit!

You have to admit, though, for a dual GPU, 1GB video card, it's pretty impressive. According to Anandtech's power measurements, it uses less power than the X1900XT under load, and slightly more than 7900GT SLI. Just goes to show how efficient the G71 architecture is, that two cores can perform much better than the competition's single core and produce less heat.
If you are a silent-freak than don't buy it. They aren't a mainstream product.
Some entusiast will get them and they care only for power and not sound.
As long as there are solutions for silence then I'm happy and I don't care if a guy in my city has a computer that takes 5000W of power and put out that same amount of heat as long as I don't suffer from it
