ZM80a with Abit IS7-G or Asus P4P800???

Anybody out there running a video card (specifically a Radeon 9700) with a ZM80 on it on the IS7-G or P4P800?

If you are running it on the IS7-G have you replaced the Northbridge fan with a passive (ie. Bigger) cooling solution?

I'm just curious if there is room on these boards for the ZM80. Any assistance greatly appreciated. I'm trying to decide on these two MOBOs.

Thanks.

IC7-G here with Zalman NB on it.
Cut three pins of each corner, file them down. Applied Shin-Etsu G751 and used the original fan clip on it.
Nice and silent :D

V. popular on abit froums.

Overclocked to 250 fsb on mine permanently -warm to touch.
at 275 fsb gets a bit too hot though.

Also Zalman 7000 Cu/heaveyfo0ker above that too at low rpm (again 250 fsb/stock voltage = 2.4 @ 3.0)

Thanks cliche. I don't suppose you have a url for those abit forums do you? Are you running a video card with the ZM80 on it at all? How does it fit with the Zalman NB cooler?

A ZM80A-HP and a ZM-NB32J do fit together on an Abit IC7/G board, the IS7/G had the same layout if I recall correctly, so it should fit those too.

You can see some nice pics of them used together here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthre ... did=259673

The Abit forums are at: http://forum.abit-usa.com/
(they seem to be quite crowded at the moment as I can't log in)

Also, there are some new Zalman coolers coming that are slightly smaller and will probably fit better on some motherboards.
