fanless nvidia cards

imo you got ripped off!!! that albatron is a crippled 5200 (should be called 5200 lite or something) it only has the the 64bit memory bus. there will be super low memory bandwith...
nvidia also chose to do this a while with the gf4 mx420 also to lower the prices. before that the last cards to have the 64bit bus were the crippled versions of the gf2 mx series.
this card probably won't be able to beat the gf4 mx440
i think the best "bang for the buck" cards <$90 are the radeon 8500le/9100's. although they are not passively cooled, how hard is it to unplug the fan and rig an undervolted fan to blow at it?

Hmm. Not too hard I guess. Might be a little tougher to rip out that ATI processor and replace it with an nVidia one, though.Keel wrote:i think the best "bang for the buck" cards <$90 are the radeon 8500le/9100's. although they are not passively cooled, how hard is it to unplug the fan and rig an undervolted fan to blow at it?
