They make noise, too.

Aftermarket cooler for an EVGA GTX 570

Post by Sunburn74 » Thu Sep 29, 2011 4:23 pm

Hi.

I want to replace the cooler on my gtx 570. I'm willing to spend maybe $100. I care mostly about noise (particularly noise during idle times).

Can you guys make any recommendations? I already know about the Accelero Xtreme PLUS but am concerned about various negative reports I've heard about it (shortouts and VRM heating issues)

BTW my case is a silverstone ft02 and the gpu is vertically oriented, if it matters.

Cheers. Thanks!

Hi, I've heard people praise the Thermalright Shaman. Large and with 8(!) heatpipes and a great 140mm fan it has great potential and rated to cool GTX480 which is really hot card.
Just found this thread.

Regards, Seb
