I am running a Gainward GeForce 7800GT in Windows Server Home 2011, how can I lower the fanspeed of this beast? I will not play any games, this will only be used for filesharing.

I remember there was a utility from gainward back when i bought my 6800 golden sample .... i think it was called EXPERTool (not 100% sure), you could try to find an old build for your card. Or just get a new AGP passive low end gpu.
