Radeon 9700 Pro All in wonder with Zalman ZM-80 heatzink ?

Hi
Have anyone mounted the Zalman ZM-80 passive heatzink on a Radeon 9700 Pro All in wonder card with success?

According to Zalman, the ZM80A-HP fits the Radeon 9700pro AIW. Probably the newer model (ZM80C-HP) fits as well.

I have now applied the Zalman ZM-80 A heatzink on the card, it works great.

What type of motherboard are you using with your zalman and your 9700? How close is the northbridge?

Seriously, though, think about getting a Zalman fan bracket witha 5-volted Panaflo L1A if you are using a 9700, especially a 9700 AIW. I think I heard somewhere that the little metal box also gets warm, and a fan to keep the air moving should be a definite consideration. It won't truly be passive, but it will still be inaudible.

The "cable in" box does get hot especially in use. Though on TV cards its just passively sitting there with no cooling.

The ZM-80C works great actually with the AIW 9700. At first I thought it would need a fan, but after testing it seems that it could live without, just make sure you have some sort of resonable case airflow around it.
Specs:
Antec Sonata case.
Asus P4P800
P4 - 2.6Ghz with Zalman 7000-Cu cooler
Ati 9700 Pro AIW with Zalman ZM-80C
Barracuda IV 60GB
The big thing to watch out for is the motherboard and the Northbridge heatsink. Make sure you pick one that has atleast the 5.5mm clearance otherwise its not going to fit. Check the zalman site for the exact specs

Jabberwock, what kind of fan(s) do you have in your case? Are they voltage modded at all?
I am looking at getting the exact same case and using the ZM80C-HP, on my 9700pro. The thing is I dont want to have any fans other then the 120mm case exhaust and the 80mm on my CPU. I already have the SilentMaxx 350 PSU.

Just using the Zalman CPU fan on fan controller's quiet setting, a 120mm back case fan, and a 92mm (I don't have any 'quiet' 120mm's) blowing from the Barracuda across the case, both using the 'fan only' headers, so I guess that counts as voltage modding. Temps were ~44C (CPU) and ~36C (Northbridge), when under full load with ambiant at 30C. I don't have a temp monitor at this time for the graphics card. It was warm but not nearly as hot as an old NVidiaTNT which hits a measured 70C. So after no artifacts in some very heavy stress testing I'm assuming it is alright.
Without the 92mm the temps were a few degrees (+2C) higher across the board. But no problems were detected. I've kept the 92mm in because of being paranoid about heat. Try it out
The power supply is the noisiest component by far. How much quieter is the SilentMaxx?
Looking into cutting out the plastic front sub panel as detailed elsewhere for mods on the Sonata.
