I'm building a gaming HTPC in a micro ATX case and have decided on this card as the best for my needs.
I do want the quietest one possible though, as it will mainly be used at night in a quiet living room, and I am sick of the racket of the 360
It's pretty much a choice between this Asus AMD Radeon HD 7850 DirectCU Graphics Card (1GB, GDDR5, PCI Express 3.0, HDMI, DVI-I, DVI-D, Display Port, AMD HD3D Technology)
This Sapphire 11200-16-20G HD7850 GDDR5 Graphics Card (1GB)
And this cheaper MSI R7850-1GD5/OC - 1GB MSI Radeon HD 7850 OC 4800MHz GDDR5, GPU 900MHz, 1024 Cores, DVI/ HDMI/ 2x mini DP
I'm inclined to go with ASUS as I have good experience with their products, and they tend to be quiet. But what about this particular ASUS 7850? I know the dual fan DirectCU2 is meant to be very quiet, even on the gtx660, but how about this single fan DirectCU?
And how about the cheap MSI card? It's been reviewed, but no noise test unfortunately.
