I have read that this card will fit in the SN45G but wondered whether it still allows the PCI slot to be used or not ?

OK, just to put you out of your misery....

Well, I don't know for certain. I do have a 9600 Pro Ultimate, which I presume has a similar passive heatpipe? The heatpipe is quite small and low-profile, certainly compared to the huge Zalman ZM-80, but I'd imagine it'd still take up some room.

You might get away with a PCI card directly next to it, but you may have a problem with the backside of the card as this too needs an extra half inch or so clearance because of the backside heatsink.

If no-one else answers, I'll open her up and have a play and see if I can squeeze a PCI card directly next to it or not. I doubt you'll have any heat problems though, as it is a very cool running card.

FYI: I checked last night and there is definitely enough clearance down the "component" side of my 9600 Pro Ultimate for a PCI card next door.

I reckon that the heatpipe adds about an extra half inch either side of the card, but on a standard ATX board this pretty much exactly matches the gap to the next PCI slot.

The only situation I can see you running into trouble with would be having a PCI card next door which has surface mount components on the backside.

Yeah, I reckon you have a decent chance but I don't have any hands-on experience with Shuttles... it's a decent card though, a bit faster than my old Ti4600 with a lot less heat. Obviously not as great as the latest cards but good for light-moderate gaming, and silent!

I have a 9800 pro w/ a Zalman fanless HS on it. The space is very tight. Depending on what you want to put there, it might not fit. Low profile cards might be OK such as NIC card.
