thougth i'd share this quick, easy mod. i built an Aopen EZ65 for my parents recently. i threw an 80GB samsung in there but i quickly realized it was getting way too hot. dtemp was reporting 48C even for just light windows use. and thats in a cool room... my parents will have this in a warmer room. so i was worried about cooking the poor drive, but SFF cases don't have much room for extra fans. enter the zalman zm-op1:

its a slim 80mm fan and it rocks for SFF systems. sorry the picture is out of focus... i was still getting used to my new camera. anyway, the fan rests on the two sata ports right under the drive and also right in front of the main intake on the side of the EZ65 case. a little adhesive foam (see the white squares) keeps the fan in place very well. at 5V, this fan is inaudible over the stock cpu and psu fans. so how does it cool? well, i never saw the drive get over 33C even under heavy use. so a 15C drop for no noise increase. dunno how it affects overall case airflow or temps since MBM does not work with this SFF, but i'd venture to guess it helps overall system temps more than it hurts. anyway, i highly recommend this fan if you have a tight spot that needs some quiet cooling.

Now, that slim fan is an 80x80x15mm I'm assuming? My EZ65 shoots to unbelievable case/CPU temperatures; so I was thinking of installing an 80mm fan to compliment the HSF, along with a 120mm fan to place where you put your Zalman.

Fat chance finding a 120x120x15cm fan though... this looks like a good mod. I'll try it.

Here's what I did, only with an 80mm and a 92mm
