ARM Systems StealthPC question

Post by unpossible » Tue Aug 10, 2004 8:32 pm

Hello,

Newbie here, so forgive me if this was already answered somewhere else (I did a quick scan and didn't find my answer).

I just came across these ARM Stealth PCs today and am very intrigued. I was considering building up my own Athlon 64 system, but I might just go for the prebuilt system since it offers what I highly prioritize (yup, silence, heh).

So my main question is how upgradeable are the ARM Stealth PCs? For instance, if one day down the line I want to replace the vidcard, or maybe scrap the entire MB/CPU, could I do so and still have effective cooling / low noise? Basically, does any of the customization to these PCs prevent me from freely replacing parts in the furture?

You'll be fine. ARM uses readily available, off the shelf components to build their systems.

They use no proprietary hardware like Dell, HP, etc.
