New Shuttle models

Post by philjeary » Sun Oct 31, 2004 5:16 am

I've read the reviews on this site about how good (i.e. quiet) the Shuttle ST62K is.

Since that model Shuttle has release a few more, namely the G5 and P ranges (namely SB77G5 and SB81P).

Could anyone tell me if they are as quiet as the St62K?

Basically, this Christmas I am planning on a major upgrade as its been a while. Next year I'll be moving the PC to the front room so i'm after something very very quiet!
I move my PC around quite alot too so I'd prefer to get an SFF case.

Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

To answer the question , No. There is no SFF machine as quiet as the zen. Just cant be done with a fanned PSU and fanned vid card.

now, if you want quiet, then yes other sff machines can be quiet. But in no way "silent". Even with the zen, you are going to have vibration problems with the harddrive. you could get a notebook hdd, but then it will cost alot.

just look at all the reviews HERE and you will see what i am talking about.

you "might" want to consider the antec super lan boy

good luck
