Apple launches new PowerBooks

Post by acaurora » Mon Jan 31, 2005 12:33 pm

Man, Apple has been on a roll recently.

http://www.apple.com/powerbook/

They're bumping up graphics to the 9700 Pro. Better late than never.

512 MB of RAM. And they didn't think about that for the Mac mini -.-

100 GB 5400 RPM HDD. *smells a 5400.2 Momentus*

*stares at his Mac mini and resumes pondering if it's worth keeping....

well, the mini will never compete with the powerbook on the road, but then it never would of ;) and aren't the two a hefty amount of cash apart from each other? :)

Seriously though i thought the next new powerbooks were going to be G5s!?? isn't this all a bit dissapointing... the graphics card being a 9700 is good but not THAT new.. wonder if it'll affect its battery life..

I'm still wondering about a mini mac, and i already have a PC laptop (that i never use :) so i think i'll manage to avoid this one :)
