One question, how did they manage to fit that 120mm fan in font of the video card. I've tried that alrady inmy p182 which looks älmost exactly like this one"and IT"S IMPOSSIBLE. The fan willoverlap that 8800 no matter what, did they modified the holes in orderto put that cage a little bit tothe right?

Also I've made more mods to myrig,I'llpost them in my gallery very soon.

Thanks!:-)

These benches show that clock for clock Quad is usually faster.
I am aware, but what has that got to do with the point?

The core2duo at stock frequency is faster and cheaper than their quad core counterparts.
C2D offers better performance per dollar, but looses when it comes to top performance.
OCed Q6600 is about as good as OCed E8500 ( one review says that it's better, the other - it's worse ). And, as games' support for 4 cores will improve over time, benefit from having additional cores will improve as well.
This makes your statement that
(...)gaming performance is better with the Core2Duos than the Quad cores.
wrong unless by "Quad cores" you mean AMD ones.

Everybody who thinks about getting this rig or even following it , and even the guys at EndPCNoise, go to my thread here:

WATCH THIS AND LEARN FROM MY FAILURES:

viewtopic.php?p=408220#408220

This could help to make a reality check.

Testing 2 different aftermarket coolers in this configuration.

The thread is dedicated to the members falcon26, meansizzler, Konnetikut, me oscar3d, and Mojo. Guys who tried to deal with the P182 to make a decent and silent gaming rig...

This is my sistem an as you can see it's very similar to this

http://img106.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... 125wx1.jpg

you can't here it all the time.

my fans now are

3 tricool at 5V and medium so the fans run at 3.5V, two on top and one in front of psu.
3 CM 13DB 700rpm at 350rpm (under motherboard regulation) very silent fans but no move air and very silent at very low speed, one on the first tower of ifx-14, one in front of graphic card to do an air-tunnel (it's the best position because the same fan directly in front of p182 it's for me too loud), and one on accelero S1 on my 8800gt AMP.
1 Noctua NF-S12-1200 with ulna at 600rpm and under motherboard regulation (about 300 rpm) on the second tower of IFX-14, very silent.

fan of enermax infiniti 650W no go over 650rpm.

but i've not finished yet! :)
