Mini-ITX case for wall mounting

Post by ziphnor » Wed Aug 20, 2008 10:23 am

I am planning to build an HTPC client (ie the storage is on a server elsewhere) based on the Intel DG45FC mini-ITX motherboard.

I am having a hard time deciding on which case to use however. I think the Psile looks great ( http://psile.com/index.php ). However, i am planning to mount the case directly on (and flush to) the wall, and i would prefer it to be as slim as possible (ie stick out from the wall as little as possible, while being allowed to spread along and up/down the wall almost as much as required).

In this regard i have the following questions:

1. Anyone know of a case designed or at least suitable for mounting in this way?

2. Can a slot loading optical drive operate correctly in a vertical position?
