Does anyone know of a good low-power network switch?
Ideally need 8 ports 100 megabit.
It seems silly that I'll have a Fit-PC Slim on my network soon which uses about 6 Watts. And a switch which uses as much or more power. Example the Netgear FS108 uses about 7.5 Watts.
Low-power switch?

I reposted this in "Green Computing" after realizing it wasn't the best spot.
The reply over there pointed me to D-Link "GreenEthernet" products.
I ordered a DGS2208 which specifies a max of 6 Watts with all ports in full use at longest length. If cables are shorter and not all ports are in use it should be lower. I ordered one from NewEgg at $35 after rebate & free shipping.
I'll throw my Kill-A-Watt meter on it when I have it in place and see how it tests out.
