A new inaudiable build for basic use

I have from my previeus build a intel e8400 and a motherboard and an 2gb memory. I though about building a mew build with those components:

*E8400
*Msi neo p35
* 2gb memory stick
* Hd 5450 passive
* modu87+/nexus vaule 430/ seasonic x-460 fanless/ seasonic x-560 (help me decide which will be the best)
* Antec p183
* Fan replacment: rear- scythe slipstream-800 rpm front top- s-flex 800rpm top- I will block (I heard that it is doing a lot of noise)
* Scythe mugen/Ninga 3/ Venomous X
* Samsung g2 eco green 500gb (I heard that it is the quietest hard drive)
* Fan controller- Scythe Kaze Q 3.5 (I love the look of it)

What are your thoughts? Is it quiet enough? Does it have enough airflow?

*Btw sorry for my bad English...

the issue with some of those psu (fanless) in a p183 case which has a relatively isolated lower bay where the psu resides may have inadequate ventilation as the vents for the psu are traditionally on the top of the psu and rear.

However at energy sipping low loads the heat energy differential between intake to outake is a few degrees IIRC with the x400 so it may not matter much. Still I wonder if it'd be better to have a slow 500-800 rpm blowing fan infront of the psu. The issue with that is clearance and the lack of enough vents in the front of the psu for proper (but perhaps adequate?) ventilation.

So just to be sure I think I'll take the Seasonic x-560, that spcr didn't reviewed but I believe it is a very good psu. It will also help cool down the hard drive in the lower cage.
Another question I have is if it would be better to replace the Samsung hard drive which looks quite slow, with the Seagate monumentux x: Is it quiet enough? Or should I spend a bit more money(acctualy quite a lot) and buy a 120Gb ssd?

The samsung f4 is an amazing hdd. Why not the 2tb one; it was on sale recently for $85 for 2tb. I use the green 2tb for media storage and have a ssd for boot/os/apps.

Even with your 5450 you're not going to use a lot of wattage. The 400W psu is more than enough (getting a deal on it is a challenge, however - one that i'm currently struggling with as well).

Have you thought about waiting for a few months. Sandybridge will be coming out. You said basic use in your thread title. In reality you could get away with a clarkdale i3 cpu (if you need blu-ray non 23.976). That way you don't need a video card. There have been people who run a core i3 system at idle on 15W. If I didn't need blu-ray, honestly the new mac-mini make excellent windows 7 (via bootcamp) pc's!

No. With your PC the Seasonic will never be bothered to spin up its fan. So for all intends and purposes it's gonna be a passive PSU for you.

Well so I think I will either take the Nexus vaule 430 or Modu87+ 500w, so that the fan will help a little...

I think that my final build will be like this:

Intel e8400, 2Gb Ram, p35 motherbord, P183/ Fractal design R3 (the exterior looks amazing...), Seagate Momentus XT in Scythe SDQ 2.5, few Nexus basic/ Scythe slipstreams controlled by fan controller, Nexus vaule 430, HD 5450 passive, Thermalright Venomous x with Scythe pwn (I wish I had thermalright HR-02 in my country :( )

*I would really appriciate any suggestions because I only a begginer in this all silent computer's building, and right now I have an extremly noisy computer (at least noisy to me...)

Not sure why you need such a big case... maybe you just want one?

Cooling your components quietly is trivial in almost any decent case with good 120mm fan in/out vents. I think you could do it with just the CPU fan blowing the hot air straight out the back panel vent. You might see 100W max power draw if you stress-tested the CPU and GPU simultaneously. This is generally way more power than normal usage.

FYI, the lab sample of the Nexus Value 430 was found to have trouble getting out of standby/sleep mode with a couple of different PCs. I'm not big on it as a result; I really should post a caution about this in the review. Also, current 80+ Gold units are way more energy efficient -- tho w/ as little power as your system will draw, the difference probably will not be more than ~5W.

First Mike I want to tell you that you have amazing reviews in this site and I think that no other site even get close to how proffesional this site is!

Now, I got a little confused from your things, and I don't really know what power supply and case to choose- maybe a smaller case like Ante Sonata Elite/ Antec Solo? For power supply I am looking for something that would be inaudiable in most condionts, but I don't really care about efficiency. So what is your reccomandation.
The best scenario will be if you can give me specs for a system based those components: Intel E8400, p35 motherboard, 2Gb Ram. The other components I will need to buy (the money isn't really important, but I am not Bill Gates...)

Again, I really appriciate your effort and I am happy to join your community! :)

Well, you're welcome.

So is that an ATX board?

Try a Solo, with a Seasonic 560 -- and the rest of your components. Suspend the HDD (encased as planned), and maybe use one fan on the back panel and one on the HS -- both running maybe 500rpm or lower. The Scythe Mugen 2 will work well too, and it comes with a silent fan...

Well that is look pretty good. I don't think that I will take the mugen because it is looks pretty damn hard to mount it, and I want something that will be easier for a begginer. So based on you things I am summarize it:
*Intel E8400, P35 motherboard ATX, 2Gb Ram.
* Antec Solo with two Slipstreams/Nexus basic fans about 500rpm
* Seasonic x-560 Psu.
* Seagate Momentus XT 320GB (I heard that it is a bit quiter) in Scythe SDQ 2.5
* Scythe Fan contoroller
* HD 5450 Passive
* Thermalright Venemous x with s-flex about 500rpm / Noctua u12p se2

BTW- Are thouse cpu coolers going to feet in a Antec solo, because it is looks like a pretty small?

Yup, no problem.

Tell us about the final result when you're done.

btw, while Noctua coolers are very good, their fans are not so good and overpriced. Scythe offers the best range of quiet fans are good prices.

Yes I know noctua's fans are not so good, but for exmple, if I would buy the Noctua u12p se2, that comes with two fans, and I will undervolt them to about 5v, the fans will still be noisy? I won't buy them separatly, especialy when you can buy Slipstream fans in much lower price and they are performing better.

BTW do you know if the Venomous x or Noctua u12p will fit into the Antec solo?
