Reserator tips?

Post by madpoet » Thu Sep 02, 2004 10:27 am

So my blue rocket ship arrived today along with a VGA block for cooling my HTPC. I've read a fair number of the reviews (the English ones anyway) but am looking for other tips that users can share for the installation and maintenance. This is my first attempt at WCing (the very thought of it makes me shudder) and I admit that I might be stressing the system with my hardware (3.0c currently at 3.7 and a Quadro 3000 card). I'm willing to drop my OC down some to get rid of the noise (I did it more for a lark than actual need of the CPU power).

Thanks,
MP

The only non-obvious advice I have would be to not tighten the top cap on the Reserator too much. It is a pain in the butt to get it off if you do. As far as I can see it isn’t necessary to have it really tight.

I added some algaecide/anti-corrosion, even though Zalman says it isn’t necessary.

Old familiar advice: “Measure twice, cut onceâ€
