I know that a Eheim1046 is very quiet but it costs about $40. Are there any pumps that have a comparable noise level that are a little bit cheaper.

How loud is the viaaqua 1300 because its around $20-$25?
Thanks

I use a Maxijet 1200 (295GPH) and it is very small and quiet. Vibrates a fair bit though.

Thanks. I found a place in town that carries a Supreme Mag Drive that pumps about 140gph for about $20.

Where is it that you got such a bargain price???

I checked and you're right. The 140 is not inline only submersible.
Guess I'll spend more and get the 250.

Now that I've figured out what pump to use do you have any recommendations for a cheap waterblock. Ebay doesn't have much and most stores only sell ones that are $40+. Also is there anything wrong with using a heater core as a radiator. Trying to work on buget of about $75.

Buy a Maze2 from forums - that's what i did. Its a good block, all copper and non-leaky construction.

Well I have 2 water blocks up for sale:
Maze 3 1/2" chrome fitting $30 shipped.
Swiftech MCW-5000P P4 only $35 shipped.
Both have seen only week or two of use and in great shape.
As for radiator,
get a heater core. If you are on budget. Autozone should have chevy chevette 84 or so core at about $16-17, camaro heater core of 89-92ish works well too. Since they are larger than 120mm as well as fitting isn't barbed, go to home depot and get some metal sheet and make fan shroud to fit 120mm fan as well as 2 brass fitting of 3/8" or 1/2"... cut the heater core pipes, solder the fitting. That should set you back total of $25 or so on radiator granted you have right tools.
Good luck.

BTW, Mark....aren't you in HardOcp as well?

Does anyone no of any other pumps because I saw a review at overclockers.com that said the pump had a low frequency hum.
