Hello everyone,

My Reserator 2 pump just gave up (literally days after the warranty expired) and I purchased a Laing D5T pump.

Does anyone know if there is a pump controller (kinda like how there are fan controllers) out there? My guess would be that it would be same as the PWM fan controller except that it'd handle more watts. The Laing pump is rated at 24W.

Thanks ya'll.

I think the first question might be: "does the Laing D5T work OK with PWM?".
I don't know if they do or not, but, given the way DC pumps work, and what PWM is, I'd be surprised if a fan controller (even an high amperage one) would work properly.
Maybe email Laing and ask? Might as well ask them about lowered voltages while you're at it (you could use a rheostat or switched resistors to lower voltage).

This may be over the top, but you could check out the T-balancer by MCubed (http://www.t-balancer.com/english/bng.htm). Fans, pumps, flow meters, and more.
