Going through some Japanese computer sites this morning and came across this:

I was about to bemoan the fact that all the good stuff comes out in Korea first, but then I saw this Zalman ZM-WB1 CPU Waterblock #301 $49.95, but only for P4's Athlon64's

It would help if we could read Japanese.

Did you find an online translating tool for this page?

Excellent connectors, terrible base finish. Maybe its just due to year-long corrosion in the bag of a sales rep. I sure hope that is a shipping weight - 2lbs!

That base on the Korean site looks like a fresh from the casting finish, before polishing and lapping. I can't imagine Zalman would sell something to a consumer looking like that, given their quality record for air-cooled heatsinks.

Oh..... no... what is Zalman doing -_-?!
I've yet to see one of those coolers doing EFFECTIVE cooling. It just doesn't have effective area for heat dissipation nor enough airflow to cool it (and quiet at same time).
I guess there are some markets for people wanting a bit quieter solution than SLK-900 or CNPS-7000 Cu with high wattage CPU. But if you are going H2O... man... that is half of solution. (I would recommend exos over those any time... and custom setup instead of EXOS anytime)
