New to watercooling, here's my plan

Post by ryboto » Tue Jul 22, 2008 4:49 pm

This was my original post over at Overclock.net on the subject:

So, I'm interested in going to water. I don't want anything extreme, I'm looking for simple, not flashy, low profile, and quiet. So far, here are the parts I've looked into,

Swiftech MRC120-RES

D-tek Fuzion V2

Swiftech MCP350

Swiftech MCW60

Now, I'd like to cool my CPU and GPU, for that I imagine I'd need a second 120mm radiator. I've already got some Scythe fans I could use on the radiators. I'm not sure which tubing would be best. All of the components seem to accept 3/8'' ID tubing. Would this be a capable setup? I've already got some Scythe fans I could use on the radiators

Edit: didn't really ask which tubing is best, and also I'm curious what kind of coolant should be used.

Now, since then the users suggested I go for the larger 220 radiator. Given my current case, I'd probably drop the CPU block, and just opt for GPU cooling. Would a 120mm radiator work...well?

Also, is the MCP350 quiet? Or is there another quiet pump I should look into?
