mmorpg gaming machine.

With Everquest II and World of Warcraft on the horizon the old online rpg bug got me. As a otherwise happy Apple user i will only play games on this machine, so spending too much is out of the question.

I've got two items in this house which are 'known' dB-wise:

- my iMac which is around 30dB (depends of ambient temp.)
- my beamer which a good magazine rated at 39dB (marketing blurp said 30dB..)

The beamer is too loud. My girlfriend would kill me if i bought a machine that loud: iMac is considered quiet enough: so that sort of noise lvl is where i would be happy.

The planned machine:

AMD XP-2800+
Zalman CNPS7000A-Al
Asus A7N 8x-x nforce 2-400 lan/audio
Divers Fortron Aurora 350W Blue led fan PSU
Dane-Elec 512 MB DIMM PC3200 (2x)
Samsung Spinpoint 80Gb 7200rpm 8mb cache
Sapphire Radeon 9800Pro 128Mb DDR
Chenbro xPider (it's the gaming bomb, diff.region, diff. name.)
Papst 4412F/2GL 12cm casefan
LG GCC-4521BB DVD Combo drive
Sony 3 1/2 inch

Just read the Doom3 hardware guide http://www2.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NjQ0, the above machine should be able to play even that with some succes, so your average mmorpg shouldn't be much of a problem. The question is, will it be quiet enough.

Any thoughts?

And a big 'Thank You!!' for all the ppl working and posting usefull stuff on this website/forum :D It has been a great help!
