Intel 865/875 Motherboard Advice

Post by rjkc17 » Fri Nov 05, 2004 10:03 am

Ok... I would LOVE to upgrade myself to an intel 775 chip. It's not going to happen right now. I can't afford the DDR2/Mobo and Processor.

I've decided to make do with what i have.

I have a p4 2.8 800 fsb processor. I had an Abit IC7 motherboard but it seems to be on it's death bed.

I need a new socket 478 motherboard either 865 or 875. I don't overclock at all. What would be the best performing motherboard considering both stability and performance. Price is not a problem for this.

Thank you for you help.

This one is easy:
Intel D875PBZ or the D865PERL

Yep, there's none better than the boards sthayashi listed above. Just stay away from BIOS P09 on the 865 board and use BIOS P22 or P27 on the 875 board.
