No-Mod quiet PC

Hello again. Second question in 2 days . I am researching a computer for one of my family friends 6(!) year old. -Aside- I didn't have a computer when I was in 6th grade! And that was only 3 years ago! -End of Aside- Anyway, they just want the components, and not me too build it (they live in NJ, I live in VA, both in USA). I don't know about the interface stuff, but almost everything else looks good.

Ceramique should probably be for yourself, rather than for the family friend. A good investment otherwise

I'd question the Seagate drive, mostly because you're going with the SATA version. It's been suggested on these forums that the SATA is even louder than the PATA version of the drive. Normally, I'd recommend getting a Samsung hard drive, but there seems to be the possibility that Western Digital and/or Maxtor have drives that come close.

I don't know about the XDream II. Seeing as you're trying to make this relatively inexpensive (or so I assume), I'd look into the Arctic Cooling Copper Silent 2M or perhaps the Arctic Cooling Super Silent 4 Ultra TC
