Hi People

l've currently got my HD suspended and am wondering whether it should be 'earthed' in any way ?. l realise that it's connected back to the PSU but thought l'd ask all the same.

Aeons ago, yes (486 days? That's the last time I saw a grounding wire), but the molex is used now.

It couldn't hurt to have a little extra ground connection, but you don't really need it.

Take a multimeter and check for continuity between your HDD metal case/lid and your PC case. If the thing beeps then you don't need a grounding wire.
