Vantec Iceberg Chipset Cooler: A Quiet Solution

Post by PaneTrez » Tue May 31, 2005 2:13 am

In my attempts to find a replacement heatsink for my GA-K8NXP-SLI's noisy northbridge HSF, I found the Vantec Iceberg CCB-A1C copper northbridge heatsink. I'm not going for performance really, I just want a solution that will keep my northbridge at a normal temp and keep the noise level at a minimum.

Quiet? Only if it's undervolted. I'm using one on my graphics card, and I have it running at 5V (using atitool). At 12V, it's about as loud as my northbridge fan.
