motherboard swap win 8 pro
A couple of months ago my system took a surge and my ethernet port died on my Asus P8H77-I motherboard. I've been using a usb wifi adapter but finally ordered the exact same motherboard. Will Win 8 Pro notice any change? Is there anything to look out for in the bios settings? Thanks

You should be fine. If there is a significant change in hardware, sometimes Windows will ask to be reactivated, but I don't think changing the motherboard for one of the same type will be a problem.
Regarding BIOS, try and make sure the hard drive settings are the same, as some changes can cause windows to fail to boot.
Just try it, and see if it works. If it does, you're good to go, if not, then have a look at the BIOS settings. 90% you'll be fine though!
