The Asus GTX 660 Ti is a nice card as is the MSI Twin Frozr version. Asus runs quieter, MSI runs cooler. The GTX 660Ti is noticably faster than the HD 7850. I'd stay away from the passive Powercolor 7850 as (at least the review units) did not downclock the memory at idle...so high idle power use.

Hello!
Good to know :)

There's also
- Asus RADEON HD 7850 2GB DirectCU II V2 , HD7850-DC2-2GD5-V2 €176,50
What to think of that?

Asking as...
- ASUS Radeon HD 7870 DirectCU II 2 GB
went wrong.

Could partitioning interfere with wear-leveling?

In principle. I'd always test the stock fans first, see how loud they are to my ear and then start fine tuning rpm of individual fans.
Of course! That'd give a sense of improvement too.

IMHO R4 beats the CM.
Seems to also come with short-comings though...
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Frac ... _R4/6.html
Clips of front covers won't last long
No possibility to install 3.5" drives out of the box
Front-panel design not as flexible as in previous Define cases
Fan controller no longer with a dial, only 3 settings are available
Door only opens to the left
Somewhat heavy

When seeking to realize something based on this viewtopic.php?f=23&t=66304, was offered|suggested a some-what difFerent configuration as well...
( perhaps this'd work better in another thread )

case:
Fractal Design Define R4 - - tower - ATX - Black Pearl

power supply:
Sea Sonic Platinum Series 520 Fanless - Power supply ( internal ) - ATX12V / EPS12V - 80 PLUS Platinum - 520 Watt - active PFC (P-520FL)

fan:
Thermaltake NiC F3 - Processor cooler

motherboard:
ASUS Z87-A

CPU:
Intel Core i5 4670K - 3.4 GHz

Has September already arrived?

Intel released a Product Change Notification for all of the Haswell chipsets (found this at Hardwareinfo). There's a bug with the USB 3 implementation causing problems when waking from sleep. Intel's fix is the C2 stepping, which won't be qualified until July 1 and in mobo's end July. The PCN can be found here.
"
There's always risk when you are an early adopter. It seems like every CPU/chipset released has some kind of bug the necessitates a silicon spin. If you take a look through any motherboard mfgr's BIOS downloads, the revision history tells a similar story - lots of revisions in the first few months and then things settle down.
"
Are those issues already alright?

RAM
Crucial Ballistix Tactical - Memory - 4 GB - DIMM 240-pin - DDR3 - 1600 MHz / PC3-12800 - CL8 - 1.5 V - unbuffered - non-ECC -4 modules
__
However,
CA_Steve wrote:Look for low profile, CAS9 or so, perhaps 1.35V
...and I had found
- Crucial DDR3 4GB Ballistix UDIMM 240pin, L-1600, PC3-12800, Unbuffered, NON-ECC, CL8 VLP, 1.35V, 512Meg x 64, Low Profile

How do their difFerences have effect?

STORAGE (SSD , HDD)
Samsung 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD256 - Solid state drive - 256 GB - internal - 2.5" - SATA-600 (MZ-?7PD256BW)

Seagate Pipeline HD ST2000VM003 - Hard drive - 2 TB - internal - 3.5" - SATA-600 - 5900 rpm - buffer: 64 MB

Video (GPU)
ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 - Graphics card – Nvidia GF GTX 760 - 2 GB GDDR5 - PCI Express 3.0 x16 - 2 x DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort
Should MSI Twinfrozr (IV) be better recommended?

DVD-RW (external device)
BUFFALO MediaStation 8x Portable DVD Writer with LED Power Indicator - Disk drive - DVD±RW (±R DL) / DVD-RAM - 8x8x5x - Hi-Speed USB – external (DVSM-?PC58U2VB-?EU)

Monitor:
BenQ GW2450HM - LED monitor - 24" - 1920 x 1080 - VA - 250 cd / m2 - 5000:1 - 20000000:1 (dynamic) - 4 ms - HDMI, DVI-D, VGA - speakers - glossy black

And what to say regarding CPU Cooling and HDD?
