My usage scenario includes many hours per day of 3D combined with Blender, Photoshop and Mudbox, so something that can handle 3D decently and not overheat is a high priority. I am not interested in overclocking, but in cool and quiet. I do plan on driving two 27" 2K displays with this hence the 4GB of video memory - my current iMac has a 680M with 2GB of memory and easily drives it's 27" 2K display and a second 1920x1200 HDMI display, so I figure this rig should do better.
