The Canadian Samsung site is totally useless, misleading and frustrating for obtaining service for your drive. If you visit
www.samsung.ca you
might eventually find the
warranty page. The list of hard drives there is missing many models, and if you manage to navigate the maze of pages you might get to the
Exchange Return Authorization page.
I filled in my details, only to be met with a deafening silence. No feedback. No courtesy email. No response. Nothing.
Note that if you visit
http://www.samsung.com using a your Canadian ISP, you will automatically be directed to the Canadian portal.
Instead, go to the US Samsung site using the address
http://www.samsung.com/us/. From there you can get to the
global hard drive support site. This contains links to:
- Warranty check
- RMA request
- RMA status
Follow the steps in the order shown to check your warranty, obtain RMA documentation and track your status.
