pentium M notebook or subnotebook for SILENCE

More popular than ever, but some are still very noisy.

pentium M notebook or subnotebook for SILENCE

Post by ajagodnik » Sat Feb 26, 2005 5:10 am

Hi,

Is it possible to get a silent notebook with pentium M 1,7Gh, intel graph. pro 2 in a 12"? example: http://www.prestigio.com/products/show. ... sconte_120

Or is it better to get a subnotebook, like sharp's mm20 or mm10 for example: http://www.sharpsystems.com/products/pc ... ius/mm/20/

I do not need performace, just silence and mobility.

Thanks

Either should be fine for silence with speedstep etc configured for max power saving.

Decide based on screen size, weight, and battery life.

FWIW I am using a toshiba portege 2000 P3-750 12" 1024 screen 2.6 lb notebook and I really like the small size but my battery life sucks (especially after 2 years) like most small notebooks. But I wont start ranting about LiIon batteries here.
