Considering: Gateway NX560

I've got a question for you: I'm looking for a reasonable new laptop machine, and I've heard decent things about Gateway quality and relative freedom from problems. The new NX560 with Core Duo T2300 and ATi X1400 video looks very appealing to me, and it appears to be the best value I'll be able to find on a similarly-equipped machine. Long battery life is not so important, since this machine will mainly live on a desk, but performance is more important since I'll want to play the odd PC game from time to time. I don't need a fire-breather, and it looks like this configuration would be a nice middle-of-the-road solution to my needs. Are there any obvious problems you can see with what I'm trying to do? Is the Gateway NX series a real dog?
