I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to lower the heat and noise that comes out of this laptop. I got it like 2 years ago and it has been loud as hell the whole time. I use it at school and i just hate the noise and the heat that it makes considering i use it for messaging, email, word documents, and web surfing. If anyone knows of a way that i could do this please let me know.

I looked into NHC. I installed it and it still wont let me change the cpu voltages or anything like that. I

I have a Dell 5150 that is also very hot and loud. Should have known better than to get a Pentium 4 in a laptop. Live and learn. About once a year I take mine apart to pull the dust out of the heatsink. It's a little bit of a delicate operation, but it does make a difference. It's still loud, but not as much or as continuously.
