run battery mode while on ac power?

More popular than ever, but some are still very noisy.

run battery mode while on ac power?

Post by zardoz » Mon May 12, 2008 4:18 am

hi all,

i was just wondering if it is possible to run my laptop (hp nw8240) whist plugged into the mains with the same power options as it runs on batteries?

i run nhc control and while on the mains i can get the cpu down to 800mhz but when on betteries it runs at 300mhz?

any ideas how i can run it at 300mhz while on the mains?

tx in advance.

Doesn't seem possible... the slowest I've seen a Pentium M go is 600Mhz. Maybe it's using some sort of trottleing...

I would check with a different program (CPU-Z) to make sure it's really running at 300Mhz.

You could also RMclock as an alternative to NHC
