Cooling a C2D with a Ninja (inc Fanless) & Katana

Most of the analysis is concerning the data collected from the tests on System 1. The data from system 2 is less detailed but does give a good idea on how the Ninja handles a faster C2D.

Subjectively speaking, the system was very close to silent when using the Nexus to cool the CPU. This was tested after midnight with a low ambient noise level, with the system located under a desk with the nearest front edge of the case about 4â€

Nice review, thanks!

About 10C over ambient wiht maximum cooling - seems that all C2D are running relatively hot, nothing to worry IMHO.

Do you have some power consumption data? I'd very interested, how power hungry is your System1 (ST30NF+Conroe945G+E6400) while idling and at full load.

I have enough power consumption data to publish a book! I’ll be posting it soon in a separate thread.

thanks for the test, looking good!

very cool to see a fanless psu! its strange that on a silence forum there arent more people who go fanless on their psu.
