Hi folks,

I'm back from New Zealand and updated the recommended lists. Unfortunately, there is a problem with the postnuke of spcr.com with this hudge tables, so i put them temporary in my site. The are a bit ugly without the stylesheets, but i hope you enjoy them.

The Soltek SL-K890Pro-939 (socket 939, VIA K8T890 + VT8237) works fine with CnQ.

The DFI nF4 Ultra and SLI support CnQ and undervolting down to 0.8V.

On the CnQ page the MSI RS480M2-IL is listed as a socket 754 ATX board, but it is a socket 939 micro-ATX board.

For the MSI RX480M2 one of the sources given is a post by me about the MSI RS480M2-IL.

P.S. The difference between the RS480 and the RX480 is that the RX480 doesn't have integrated video. The rest is the same.

Sorry for the mistake, looks like I mixed it up a little bit.

Paris? Did You mean Newcastle?

Code: Select all

MSI K8N Neo series 754 ATX nForce3 250GB only Paris & Clawhammer
/ works with 2 memory sticks
/ fan control down to 5V
Cheers,

Jan

No, the C't states explicitely that CnQ works only with Clawhammer and Paris (=Sempron = half the Cache of Newcastle). (c't 22/04, Seite 198)

OK, I actually haven't tried AMD's Cool 'n' Quiet.

Both ClockGen/CrystalCPUID work perfectly on my MSI K8N Neo Platinum with a Newcastle 3000+.

As per request I tested the AMD's Cool 'n' Quiet driver, and it worked. It was going from 2 GHz to 1 GHz, and I did see 1.8 GHz once or twice (ThrottleWatch). Seems that either MSI has improved the board BIOS-wise, or C't has made some sort of error.

Cheers,

Jan

FYI, Undervoltable Motherboards and CnQ Motherboards have both been updated now, with Joachim's data. No more article length limit. :D
