yeah, they have left the smart fan out on the budget board. i feel like an idiot for skimping on $30.
at a cool 24 degrees, my fan won't go below 3000rpm.
can you explain again why i shouldn't use a fan mate on the stock heatsink? i can't see why it's a problem ?
it's right under CPU/AGP/RAM voltage adjustment.
try Ctrl-F1 to bring out everything in the bios menu
btw, i have never tried the smart fan control with stock cooler, when i swapped a nexus 120mm real silent to zalman 7700, and enable smart fan control, the fan just stopped after the machine start booting to windows. so, i hook all the fans back to coolermaster muskeeter and keep them at 6V.
