I have a 2.26Ghz 533FSB Northwood running at 4.25 volts or might be 4.2 volts and idle its 29C and load its 39C

Is it just me or is that cool for a P4!? Its got a fanless XP-120 on it and just 1 case fan near it.

And at the moment its idling at 27 and ocasionally poping down to 25

If these speedfan readings are correct it seems amazingly cool for a CPU at stock FSB

the 2.26 533mhz northwood is a very old chip (as far as TDP is concerned). It's heat output is only about 60-70 Watts (if memory serves me right). The n ewest Prescott core P4's put out up to 100-120 Watts.
