Asus A8V Deluxe minimum voltage?

Post by StarfishChris » Fri Jun 03, 2005 7:39 am

I just got the A8V Deluxe and a Venice core, and to my amazement it does indeed go down all the way to 1.1v at full speed and stability.

But it doesn't go lower.

I tried setting the voltage to 1.075 and lower using Clockgen and CrystalCPUID. Nothing seems to get it below 1.1v, and even setting a lower voltage in the BIOS doesn't work. Anyone know any ways around this?

IIRC, I had to resort to using jumpers

Just curious, because I have the same board and I'd like to get the voltage lower too. How do you know it doesn't go below 1.1V? From what CrystalCPUID reports?

Yes, just from that. I've sent an email to ASUS about it, by the sounds of it it's not just limited to their boards as this post shows.
