A very interesting board from the HDTV, cooling, OC and display features.
I ordered mine to replace a flaky Gigabyte 690GM.

Looks nice board. When you get it, remember to tell how hot the NB runs. In the past nVidia chips have run really hot. I probably go for full ATX sized Asus M3A-H/HDMI with my primary build.

780G chipset to replicate old 690G and 4850e to replicate old X2 4000+ (Hybrid CrossFire intrests me greatly )

But Geforce 8200 chipset looks intresting too. I might get that instead 780G but will see. Remember to give us input of that board.

read an early preview of the new 8200 chip (http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/1295/ ... index.html) - in terms of performance its only a little better than the 690g, while the 780g is more than twice as powerful.

any particular reason for going with the 8200 other than if you're using a nvidia gpu?

Thanks Porkchop, I think I will head towards 780G chipset then... Asus M3A-H seems great. But Gigabyte as also good Full ATX board with 780G... Man it will be tough choice...

"any particular reason for going with the 8200 other than if you're using a nvidia gpu"
No, that pretty much pegs it. Just want to try the integrated PureVideo. I don't game at all. I am not even interested in HDMI right now as I have high quality 2 channel (tube driven Altec 19). I am only interested in HD quality, cpu load, wanted to try a Biostar board,

Yeh, about that, I think it is telling that Biostar has that Cold Harbor feature.
I am writing this on a system with Abit KN9, Asus 3450, Rosewill Nic, and Brisbane 3600x2 OCed to 2.6. I kinda like it.
I really think I will end up with an Intel board with non-integrated video and sound card, but right now this is ninety bucks for fun and education.
