Unlocked Sandy Bridge Dual Core; 2120K

Apparently lacking hyperthreading and turbo, and only HD2000 graphics. $150. Will be interesting to see what can be done with this, and hopefully there will be dual-core 'K' series Ivy Bridge CPUs at launch, too.
Re: Unlocked Sandy Bridge Dual Core; 2120K
I read somewhere on one of the review sites that in attempting to overclock the 2600K they came to the conclusion that beyond a certain point, better cooling didn't help... that the overclocking limit on the 2600K was not limited by cooling like previous generations are. My recollection was they got up to just under 5gHz.
If that is so, this 2120K might not be quite the speed demon you would think. It may be limited to 5gHz as well.
As for the Ivy Bridge, apparently those new 3D transistors are not only more efficient but about 25% faster. Perhaps the Ivy Bridge version of this chip will be able to reach past 6gHz. Wouldn't that be something.

Well, i guess we will see on the OC front. I find it interesting from the other side of things too.. passive operation late at night ..still with the possibility of turning on the fans and OC'ing the hell out of it.
What I am really hoping for is an unlocked dual core Ivy Bridge with the HD3000 replacement, and 24p support. Just add an SSD and decent HS for a blisteringly fast, 0 noise HTPC and (non-enthusiast) gaming system. And for a good price..
The $150 of this seems too close to the price of a 2500K for those who aren't into silencing or single-threaded-only performance, to me. And sucks that its only HD2000.

Guys, any news on the launch date of 2120K? Could be a great CPU for those wanting higher clocks, rather than a real quad core. I do hope to see this chip soon in shops
