Motherboards supporting external PSU

Post by niente » Tue May 29, 2012 5:06 am

Hello,
at the moment I know two motherboards which support external PSU, they are:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ ... h61ag.html
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ ... 800mt.html
Am I clear enough when I say external PSU?
Do you know more?
Thank you

Yes, there are newer and older versions of the same designs such as the D945GSEJT.
There's also a few offerigns by other vendors. For instance Zotac had an Ion board or two with DC input if I remember right.
Maybe you could email Logicsupply (the retailer) with your question.

You can also use a regular board in combination with a pico PSU or equivalent. Or you could simply a regular board in combination with one of the mITX cases including a DC-DC board.

If you want to be clearer than "external PSU", you could perhaps say "AC/DC brick".

I've heard there will be an Ivy bridge version of the DH61AG...but, I don't recall the product number.

Thank you for your answers.
I will remember AC/DC brick, thank you for the hint; now it will be easier for me to look for it.
