This is exactly what I did a month ago, speaking in Italian with Francesca Cipriani...
If you're a customer and you are interested in buying only one piece of that awful hardware, you've to forget about it :(
They only sell them to OEM and not in the retail market :/

Anyhow, if they'll say you can bought it even if you only want need one of those, I'll be happy for you... That would means I'll ask them again and I will go to buy one too as fast as they say: "yes, we can deliver that model to your address"

That does look really cool. Direct plug drive connector SATA w/ power for instance is a neat little thing. :)

Yes I'm aware of that fact. I hope to get some data from them and maybe the lowest possible amount to order. If it is around 100 pcs I may try to gather few people on some forum :)

Bad news for now:
"the SECOpITX-GX is under development and is estimated to be availeble for samples in Q4 2013"

They asked me to write them around November

If so, I already know 2 friends of mine who were actually interested in, for a total of (with me) 4 pcs :D But November is so far...
And Silvermont should be around the corner...

im hoping that phrase in bold might have been lost in translation. ?
can you clarify or expand on what he said, or maybe just post it in Italian?

G'day everyone, any thoughts on creating a kickstarter or indiegogo campaign so we can buy enough of these to interest the manufacturer and get the price down?

Thanks.

Richard

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding... Actually, this is not what she told me and she never spoke to me about their product using this adjective. This is because I was not strictly quoting what she wrote me, but just summarize it, adding this adjective also to summarize my thought about this pico-ITX...

Packing this powerful SoC in so much small space, indeed, sounds to me brilliant, "awful" in its "beauty" or, in a way, a "beast". Now, I recognized this was not the best word to pick to explain my thought also because I was using a figure of speech... I'll try to do better in future ^^

Sorry, posts in languages other than English not permitted in the forums. The OP is always welcome to use Googlish. Based on some threads I've read by other members, it's more common than we think. :)

seriously? not even as an attempt for clarification of a post originally made in engerish?

are the phrases;
Ciao?
or mahalo?
or even, hasta la vista, baby!?
verboten on SPCR?

If i were to order parts for a computer separately, could i not say i ordered it a la carte?

(how about Mungen, Katana, Suriken, Samurai or Orochi? are they off limits too?)

The NSA has probably protested, since translation of non english language costs additional budget.
