Thought I'd start a generic '97 chipset/mobo thread for discussion of the new features, oddities, etc. The PC Perspective youtube interview with JJ of Asus were worth watching (ok - they were worth watching while playing WoW 
, with the occasional wait-what? moment). The UEFI Fan control functionality looks great as well as the Fan Xpert III recognition of PWM vs Voltage control for chassis fans, the ability to disable chassis fans in a profile, 20% speed, etc.
Good news for DAW enthusiasts - WAY better DPC latency for the new chipset. Anandtech saw 70us for the Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H and 92us for the ASUS Z97-Deluxe compared to the 145us+ for all '87 boards tested.
Hardware.info saw idle power ranging from 26W to 43W for 19 mobos compared to 26-49W for Z87 mobo's tested. So far, similar on the low end, maybe a little tighter on the high end.
